Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Conduct minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as necessary to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment for loading and unloading freight. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and regulations. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations on the road.
