Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Perform basic automotive repair tasks as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Strong knowledge of freight handling and transportation regulations. Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred. Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for maintaining vehicle performance. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
