Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating our 21t long truck to transport freight efficiently and reliably. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route management, and timely delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with transportation regulations. Candidates with experience in different truck types, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, are encouraged to apply. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and relevant driving experience are an asset for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Safely operate truck and other company vehicles.. Load and unload freight at designated locations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or potential delays. Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with other duties related to freight handling or route driving as needed. Represent Gryfe's to receive feedback from clients. Visit clients venue under instruction to cross check our product quality.

Skills

Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route management and freight handling. Proficiency in operating 21ft long truck. Experience driving various truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is preferred. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts if necessary. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving. Excellent route planning skills to optimize delivery schedules. Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Valid CDL license with clean driving record is not required but considered as asset. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
