Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and compliance with company policies Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle readiness Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays Assist with warehouse duties including freight handling and inventory management when not on the road

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or related fields is preferred Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards related to trucking and freight transportation
