Food Procurement and Rescue support our internal programs, like our meal program, and our Marketplace (food bank). We also share with over 40 food related charities. In 2024 we procured over 1.5 million lbs of product through food drives and food rescue partners.

Regeneration's food procurement is a robust program that fosters relationships with local members of the food system to ensure that all quality consumer products are distributed to those in need in our community.

Our Truck Driver will maintain excellent donor relations with timely and efficient pickups; the safe and effective collection, transportation and delivery of essential donated goods; and will ensure safe operation of vehicles and equipment at all times. This person will reflect our core values of Love, Integrity, Hope and Hospitality in all aspects of their role.

Responsibilities

Procurement & Logistics

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners. Perform pickups and deliveries across the GTA, providing excellent customer service. Load and unload shipments, including manual lifting when required. Adhere to food handling and cold chain management standards, reporting any safety concerns. Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting as needed and communicating effectively with the Logistics team. Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, cleanliness, pre- and post-trip inspections) to ensure safety and compliance. Track and document incoming shipments. Coordinate and oversee pickup schedules and driver assignments.
Community Engagement & Support

Represent Regeneration at events, presentations, or community booths when required. Collect and share stories that reflect the impact of our work. Participate in fundraising activities and team initiatives. Attend team meetings and contribute to organizational goals. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Qualifications

Reliable, self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with staff, volunteers, and community partners. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to Regeneration's mission and values. Valid 'D' Class driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is an asset. Current criminal background check. Food Handler's Certificate is an asset,

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
