Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver and/or Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting machinery and/or aggregate material, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Additionally, having the ability to operate equipment when not driving truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport loads to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to weight limits. Maintain accurate records including bills of lading, and weigh scale tickets. Operate heavy equipment/ labour when not driving truck. Communicate effectively with team members. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, including minor repairs and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

Valid 1A or 3A driver's license is required for Truck Drivers. Valid Class 5 at a minimum for all other positions. Experience in hauling is an asset; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and front end loaders safely for loading/unloading tasks is advantageous. Ability to operate a range of equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with a basic understanding of automotive repair for minor vehicle maintenance. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must have a clean driving record and pass background checks as required by company policy.

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
