Aramark Canada\'s Finance team is recruiting for a Treasury Accountant to join their team. This position will follow a hybrid working model, with 3 days based in our head office in Mississauga and the remaining 2 days working from your home. This is a 18-20 month contract, covering a maternity leave.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain cash forecasting model and perform cash forecasting activities for senior management to help with planning
Project cash flow receipts and disbursements for the day and execute treasury settlements
Analyze, monitor, and prepare cash and debt management reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
Assess and propose monthly intercompany debt payment to senior management
Liaise with global treasury team to provide treasury assistance
Calculate and track all loan interest and intercompany payments
Budget for yearly banking, insurance, and interest related expenses
Perform treasury\'s monthly close and reporting processes, including preparing and inputting journal entries.
Develop effective working relationships with pension fund custodians and actuarial advisors to prepare all reports and payments required by FSCO and submitted on a timely basis to meet deadlines
Prepare working papers and schedules to support the review audit of the Pension Financial Statements
Prepare final draft of Pension Financial Statements to be signed by senior management
Manage Letter of Credits, Performance Bonds and Bid Bonds
Reconcile bank and treasury related General Ledger accounts to identify errors, missing funds, and other related issues
Responsible for general insurance cost allocation, claims and premium payments
Responsible for bank charges cost allocation and reconciliation
Identify and investigate any variances and proactively follow-up with related parties
Help maintain the company\xe2\x80\x99s relationship with banks and payment processing companies to facilitate investigations where confirmation of information is required
Qualifications
University or College Education preferably in accounting and finance
2 to 3 years of related experience
Enrollment in a professional Accounting/Financial program
Excellent organization skills
Show initiative and attention to detail
Strong technical knowledge
Able to handle and manipulate large volume numeric data
Independent and self-sufficient
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
