Sitting within the Lifecycle Marketing team, the Travel Lifecycle Marketing, Manager is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of communication strategies to optimize our customers\' travel experience. This includes the creation and seamless execution of new lifecycle communication vehicles across the travel journey. This also includes supporting the implementation and on-going management of promotional marketing campaigns, that promote Air Canada\'s product offering and support both the Air Canada and Aeroplan ancillary revenue streams. The position requires a data-driven mindset, superior attention to detail, and strong organizational skills working in a high volume and complex multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the strategy, development and implementation of new initiatives that accompany our customers (including Aeroplan members) across their travel journey, with a specific focus on the stages between post-booking and travel. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Development and ongoing management of new event-based triggered communication vehicles.

    • Creating opportunities that positively reinforce Air Canada as being a one-stop shop for all travel needs.

    • Planning timely integration of various Air Canada/Aeroplan partners and products to drive upsell/cross sell opportunities.

  • Develop, manage, and lead the execution of all promotional marketing initiatives that support specific Air Canada/Aeroplan ancillary revenue sources, including but not limited to car and hotel partners, travel partners, payment options, and insurance.

  • Develop and execute across owned and paid channel placements including organic social media, paid media, email, partner channels, in-airport, broadcast, print, OOH etc\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Facilitate internal intake process for campaign planning to ensure sufficient lead times, resources, and channel support availability.

  • Manage end-to-end execution of projects - from drafting creative briefs through to obtaining all required stakeholder approvals, campaign deployment, and post campaign analysis.

  • Lead project workflows by managing project timelines & budgets for all campaigns; ability to foresee and realign priorities, when necessary.

  • Utilize data to determine campaign structures, targeting strategies and communication tactics.

  • Facilitate delivery of post campaign analysis and leverage key insights and learnings to optimize future strategies with an always-on approach to continuous improvement through test & learn.

  • Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders - Marketing, Product Owners, Analytics, Marketing Operations, eCommerce, Creative Studio, Legal, Channel Owners etc. to develop and deliver on plans to meet business objectives.

  • Provide ad-hoc leadership and support on other initiatives, as needed.
Qualifications

  • Experience working directly on one or more of the following: customer lifecycle management, CRM strategy, loyalty marketing, campaign management, product marketing, B2C digital marketing

  • Ability to develop impactful and effective communication strategies and campaigns

  • Good creative evaluation skills and ideation capabilities.

  • Solid understanding of below-the-line marketing communications with a focus on digital channels

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to report findings and support broader team to find effective solutions to drive marketing and communications strategies.

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive self-starter, with strong project management skills and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Superior administrative, prioritization and organization skills with the ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced, high-volume environment.

  • Ability to communicate in written and oral English required. French is an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing or retailed field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in marketing, preferably with experience in a similar field - loyalty, customer lifecycle programs, airline and/or travel industry.

  • French an asset.

Structure:

  • The Travel Lifecycle Marketing Manager position sits within the Lifecycle Marketing team, reporting to the Manager, Member Marketing.

  • Does not have any direct reports.

Conditions of Employment:
