Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Travel Agent & Tour Planner
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of group travel, FIT planning, cruise vacations, and flight bookings. This role requires a highly motivated professional who can manage client relationships, design bespoke itineraries, and provide expert guidance throughout the booking process.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, design, and book travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, cruises, tours, and transportation for both individual and group clients.
Provide expert consultation on destination options, travel logistics, visa requirements, and insurance.
Manage all aspects of group tours, from proposal development and itinerary creation to on-the-ground coordination.
Handle FIT (Free Independent Travel) requests by creating personalized travel itineraries tailored to client preferences.
Coordinate cruise packages, including reservations, shore excursions, and pre-/post-cruise arrangements.
Manage and communicate with drivers and tour guides to ensure smooth tour operations and client satisfaction.
Negotiate with suppliers, airlines, cruise lines, and tour operators to secure competitive rates.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, destinations, and regulations.
Provide outstanding customer service before, during, and after travel.
Manage client inquiries, changes, and problem-solving in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a travel agent or consultant, with proven expertise in group tours, FIT, cruises, and flights is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of GDS (Global Distribution Systems) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel booking software.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ACTA, IATA, or TICO) are an asset.
Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese is required.
