Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee our transportation operations for our new transportation division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods while managing a team of drivers and logistics personnel. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize delivery routes and reduce costs. Ensure daily operations of the transport department, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring vehicle performance. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in transportation operations. Lead, train, and supervise a team of drivers and logistics staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies. Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Analyze transportation data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination between transportation and supply chain activities. Handle customer inquiries related to transportation services and resolve any issues that may arise. Implement new routes for trucks and plan the profits through analysing market conditions.

Experience

Minimum 4-5 years of experience as transportation manager in transport management or logistics roles is essential. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively. Proficient in using transportation management software and data analysis tools. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.

Pay: $65,837.98-$103,802.64 per year
