The preferred location for this position is Toronto, Canada.

W\xc3\xa4rtsil\xc3\xa4 Energy, Energy Storage & Optimisation (ES&O) is now looking for a Transport Manager to manage and lead project transports as a part of the ES&O Supply Chain, AMER team.

As Transport Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Managing and leading project transports for the Americas according to contracts and other requirements
• Creating and follow-up transportation plan for the customer projects
• Selecting transport method and executing logistics service provider selection
• Sourcing logistics service providers and negotiating transport agreements
• Managing logistics programs to optimize transport costs when applicable
• Develop logistics processes
• Cooperating with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders
• Supporting project teams with project planning and scheduling
• Supporting Sales with logistic related maters
• Supporting project site teams with transportation and logistics matters
• Training other stakeholders in logistics.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have.

• BSC or equivalent (in engineering, economics, IT, business administration, or similar)
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Transportation or Logistics
• Good communication, team working, and social skills.
• Systematic and active approach to working.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in logistics or manufacturing
• Experience in process development and project management is seen as an advantage.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate key elements in global transports.
• Able to conduct large international negotiations participated by several interest groups.
• Willingness to travel
