As Transportation Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and scheduling of grain shipments via ground transportation, ensuring the efficiency of grain movement to end-use customers and terminal locations.

Your day-to-day activities will include:
Determine future transport (truck or rail) needs and book/schedule as per customer requirements
Negotiate freight rates and availability with carriers
Work with our elevators and related departments to ensure timely execution of sales and shipments
Prepare and ensure the accuracy of customs documents, invoices, and customer orders
Update Agrosoft and maintain reports detailing shipment statuses, current rates, and data trends
Maintain seamless integration with other departments in P&H and foster a culture of respect with a positive and progressive environment for all employees and customers

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

Minimum 3 years\' experience in negotiating and coordinating shipments via rail and/or trucks
Diploma or Degree in business, agriculture or equivalent
Previous experience in shipping agricultural commodities is considered an asset
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
