Position Summary
We are looking for a Delivery Services Analyst based at our Montreal Head Office. This role is to ensure the liaison between the business and the transportation carriers. The main responsibilities are to ensure the daily operations are in good order, follow up with the 3PL and carriers, and to address all specific requirements to the 3PL and carriers.


A day in the life of a Transportation Analyst:


Coordination of activities with 3PL and Carriers
  • Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders the pickup/delivery for LTL/FTL shipment
  • Coordinate the pickup with the 3PL for LTL/FTL shipment
  • Track LTL/FTL shipment with carriers and provide update/follow up to the stakeholders
  • Contact the "last mile" carriers when required
  • Optimization of loads through daily collaboration with DSP, 3PL and carriers
  • Follow up with local cartage companies (if any pick-up issues)



Setup of delivery services communication process
  • Define a communication process and tool with the 3PL and the business for the LTL/FTL shipments, specific requests and ad hoc demand including SLA in response
  • Define an expedite process when required (business-3PL-Carrier)



Address the Supply Chain complaints related to delivery services with 3PL and carriers
  • Address complaints and or operational issues with 3PL and/or Carrier
  • Maintain a root cause-Action plan record



Maintain a track record of all LTL/FTL request
  • Provide data on transport spend for budget purposes and review
  • Build a database to track all requests and requirements for future RFP

As the successful candidate you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will also:

  • Minimum 2 years in transportation/logistics
  • Good Supply Chain understanding and knowledge
  • Problem Solving and Decision-Making mindset
  • Can manage multiple requests at the same time and follow-up, stress in peak periods
  • Strong communication skills oral and written
  • Good knowledge of working with ERP-Systems
  • Autonomous/independent with the abilities to implement Company policies and guidelines
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office (Excel & word, outlook, powerpoint)
  • Team player
  • Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or worldwide.
