Logistics Operations - Ryder Senior Transportation Coordinator Summary : The senior transportation Coordinator will maintain effective and compliant logistics operations of all transportation activities across a complex and dynamic worldwide supply chain network. You will manage the compliance and performance of carriers in collaborationwith the Senior Transportation Manager. The candidate will ensure the integrity of parts in transit and the timely inbound/outbound shipments & deliveries. The candidate will actively contribute to the efficient functioning of the department by being the Global Transportation Management (GTM) technical reference and local point of contact for Ryder transportation related matters. R esponsibilities :

  • Support all transportation activities (air, ground, ocean) for inbound and outbound movements
o Provide support to Supply Management group to ensure timely delivery of raw material and finish goods o Make optimal recommendation and monitor urgent shipments routing, follow-up with internal customer and ensure On Time Delivery for all plants o Interact with Ryder USA to resolve operation and system issues on regular and timely manner.
  • Maintain the relationship with the internal customers, suppliers & carriers to insure the constant visibility of the material flow
o Interface and communicate internally and external on all matters affecting the measurement of logistics performance and quality issues (Service interruption, business continuity plan, damage or lost shipments) o Ensure the GTM system compliance by collaborating with procurement Accounts specialist and with suppliers o Provide visibility of freight in transit to the Supply Chain Command Center using the XRM system
  • Continuous improvement activities
o Interact with Senior Manager to identify and investigate recurrent shipping problems and make recommendations to resolve these problems o Determine and implement cost savings opportunities o Recommend system enhancements for visibility or Transportation efficiency o Participate in quality clinics to revise escapes/issues and drive the corrective action process o Work with the Ryder Data Analyst to generate reports and publish KPI\xe2\x80\x99s to give visibility to senior Management o Assure process documentation is accurate and maintain specific publication (holiday schedule and routing guides)
  • Supervision Activities (Items will be trained and assigned over time)
o Oversight of daily operations o Deployment & Communication of corporate initiatives o Management & Oversight of employee contributions & scheduling o Management of process documentation and continuous improvement efforts. Required Skills Bachelor Degree with pertinent Supply Chain or Logistics experience. At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in complex Logistics network (International shipping experience) Capacity to work under pressure Adaptability and ability to prioritize according to customer changing needs. Ability to work and communicate efficiently with different internal departments and external suppliers Exercise leadership, a strong sense of urgency and customer focus Demonstrate an analytical problem-solving approach Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
  • Knowledge & awareness of Power BI, Alteryx and SQL is an asset.
