Transport Specialist

to join our team and help optimize transportation processes across the region.

What You'll Do

As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely transportation operations. Your responsibilities include:

Optimize Transportation Spend:

Manage transportation budgets, analyze costs, and track KPIs to drive financial efficiency.

Vendor & Carrier Management:

Manage our transportation service provider while being the conduit between the MSP, commercial team, and the DC network. Maintain and develop relationships with our key carriers holding QBR on performance.

Coordinate Complex Shipments:

Oversee shipments outside the Managed Service Provider (MSP) scope, including 3PL movements, asset transfers, production components, inbound raw materials, finished goods, and returns.

Collaborate Across Teams:

Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.

Support Strategic Initiatives:

Partner with Global Procurement, North American Strategic Sourcing, Operations, and Corporate functions to align transportation strategies with business goals.

What You Bring

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience:

+ 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
+ Familiarity with North American transportation regulations and compliance requirements.

Technical Skills:

+ Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
+ Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).

Certifications (Preferred):

+ APICS CSCP, CTL, or similar supply chain certifications.

Core Competencies:

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost optimization.
+ Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

Soft Skills:
