Human Remains Transportation Specialists Needed



Eastern Ontario Removal Services (EORS) has been the trusted provider of dignified human remains transportation in the National Capital Region since 2003. Our professional, unmarked fleet and dedicated team serve funeral homes, hospitals, and families with integrity, respect, and care.

Position: Human Remains Transport Specialist (On Call/ Part Time/ Full Time/ Casual)

Location: Ottawa (serving surrounding areas)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts 8-hour shifts(days/nights/weekends; on-call rotation)

Position Overview:



As a Human Remains Transport Specialist at EORS, you will play a crucial role in providing dignified, compassionate, and professional transportation services for deceased individuals. Working alone or in a team of two, you will respond to calls for removals from various locations (personal residences, hospitals, retirement homes, and Coroner transfers) and ensure the safe and respectful transfer of human remains to the designated funeral home or medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct removals of deceased individuals with the utmost care, respect, and professionalism.

Safely operate company vehicles to transport human remains.

Interact compassionately with grieving families, offering guidance and reassurance.

Complete necessary documentation and paperwork for funeral homes and authorities.

Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, funeral directors, and law enforcement.

Adhere to health, safety, and legal protocols during all removals.

Assist in lifting, moving, and positioning deceased individuals (ability to lift 100 lbs. and push/pull 350 lbs).

Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of an on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:



High level of professionalism, empathy, and emotional resilience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical ability to perform removals in various environments and weather conditions.

Valid G-class driver's license (clean record preferred).

Ability to pass a criminal background check (company-funded).

Preferred Qualifications:



Previous experience in funeral services, healthcare, or emergency response is beneficial but not required
