We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Broker to join our dynamic logistics and transportation team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless freight movement across various supply chains. Your expertise in transportation management, customer relationship management, and sales will drive growth and operational efficiency. Duties



Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, carriers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business. Manage end-to-end transportation processes including dispatching, freight coordination, and route planning using advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) platforms. Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers and clients to optimize pricing strategies while maintaining compliance with FDA regulations where applicable. Generate leads through proactive outreach, inside sales efforts, and leveraging CRM software to expand the client base. Oversee supply chain operations by coordinating transportation planning, dispatching shipments efficiently, and ensuring timely delivery of freight. Manage account details including data entry, contract administration, and maintaining accurate records within systems such as AS400. Collaborate with sales management teams to develop logistics solutions tailored to client needs in B2B sales environments. Monitor carrier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure service quality standards are met or exceeded. Support logistics sales initiatives by providing detailed proposals, pricing options, and negotiating terms that benefit both the company and clients. Assist in transportation sales efforts by identifying new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector such as NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) services or 3PL solutions.

Requirements



Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales with a strong understanding of freight forwarding operations. Demonstrated ability in account management, customer relationship management (CRM), and B2B sales strategies. Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI platforms, CRM software, and AS400 systems for data entry and dispatching tasks. Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop innovative logistics solutions that meet client needs while optimizing costs. Knowledge of transportation planning, carrier relations, freight pricing models, and logistics regulations including FDA compliance when applicable. Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Experience working within 3PL or NVOCC operations is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
