Working closely with other members of the maintenance team in Winnipeg, the Transport Trailer Technician - Mobile Technician specializes in over the road diagnoses and repairs. This expert Trailer Technician brings their expertise directly to the driver, is a go to for irregular repair jobs, and doesn't hesitate to take on challenging repair work, regardless of the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the mobile service truck, enabling roadside repairs to Transport Trailer equipment Inspect trailer mechanisms, ensuring that the trailer is safe and reliable for operation Complete basic exterior trailer body repairs Perform metal working, cutting, and welding on landing gear, cross member replacements, slider and suspension, and rear end protection repairs Complete air brake and suspension repairs Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system deficiencies Follow and promote Safety Guidelines, SOPs, and best practices Provide accurate and clear work orders

Qualifications & Competencies:

Valid class 5 license Transport Trailer Technician Level 3 Apprentice or equivalent experience Strong commitment to safety and continuous learning High attention to detail and a collaborative approach to problem solving Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other transport trailer systems and related components 2 years of relevant experience is preferred CVI License is considered an asset
