Job Summary
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Training Program Coordinator supports the soft skills development and general delivery of Community Builders' Training Program. General responsibilities include general administration, liaising with stakeholders, curriculum delivery, case management and employment coaching. The Training Program Coordinator's main objective is to ensure the success of our Construction Trainee Program through a variety of functions.
Responsibilities
Prepares daily lesson plans according to established curriculum
Delivers soft skills and employment skills curriculum in a classroom setting
Leads the case management for training program participants
Provides individual care to identify and eliminate employment barriers
Manages the recruitment and selection of training program participants
Collects and reports participant data to meet funder's requirements
Coordinates third-party speakers, certification courses, and field trips
Supports training program participants on the construction site, as required
Provides employment coaching and alumni supports to current and past program participants
Completes performance reviews
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in non-profit program delivery or social work required
1-3 years of teaching/instructing/training experience with a clear understanding of adult learning best practices
1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity preferred
Valid Class G driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Excellent computer skills
Must have steel toed shoes, a hard hat, access to a reliable vehicle and a smart phone
