Position SummaryDuties and Responsibilities include: * Assist course instructors with use of UR Courses online course management system:

  • Entering and editing content in UR Courses
  • Setting up course tools as directed, such as quizzes, assignments, etc.
  • Supporting Instructors in the set-up and use of Zoom
  • Consult with Training team if/as required
  • Consult with Instructional Design team if/as required
  • Training related duties that may include:
  • Research and respond to \'how-to\' questions from users related to use of UR Courses
  • Update UR Courses training materials as required
  • Assist trainers with Zoom training sessions
  • Assist students with basic questions regarding use of UR Courses and use of Zoom
  • Provide in-class tech support in our high-tech streaming classrooms
  • Other related duties as assigned
Position RequirementsPosition Requirements:
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
  • Evidence of working cooperatively with others to accomplish common goals
  • Strong comfort with using technology
  • Ability to multitask numerous projects and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Knowledge of UR Courses
  • Knowledge of Proctortrack
  • Familiarity with use of Zoom video conferencing
Physical Demands
Pay Grade CUPE Phase 1
Salary Range $15.98 per hour
Status Term
Work HoursAs needed throughout the length of the term based on class and exam schedules. Work hours may include evening and weekends.
