Our Engineering Design Organization is looking for a proactive go-getter with a can-do attitude who thrives on working collaboratively with various teams in an agile and fast-paced environment. As our Traffic Signal Designer/Drafter working out of one of our GTA offices you will play an instrumental role on the Electrical team working on design projects such as traffic signals systems, street lighting and power distribution systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Outdoor lighting plans
Site plans
Cable and duct bank routing plans
Electrical details
Material and quantity schedules
- Building strong positive relationships with Project Engineer(s) while preparing electrical discipline drawing deliverables including, but not limited to: Traffic signals plans.

Material and quantity schedules
- Developing designs and drafting drawings in MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Performing design calculations including load demand, voltage drop, cable pull tension, etc.
- Assisting with site investigations
- College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Minimum 2-3 years\' related experience (Mandatory)
- Proficiency in traffic signals and street lighting design (Mandatory)
- Knowledge of industry standards and design guidelines, including Ontario Traffic Manual OTM Book 12 and 12A, IESNA RP 8 Roadway Lighting, Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
- Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in drafting with MicroStation and AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- Advanced level proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook
- Self-motivated quick learner with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- G class driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
