This position is responsible for providing support to the School of Trades, Technology and Mining Department by: inspecting, dispensing, replenishing, and maintaining departmental tools and supplies. Duties include: assisting students and instructors; constructing training and teaching aids; maintaining and servicing various types of equipment for the Carpentry, Piping, Heavy Equipment, Welding, Electrical and other Trades and Technology related programs.
The ideal candidate will have training and experience in a variety of relevant trades (Construction, Heating, Plumbing, Heavy Equipment, Electrical, etc.). They should clearly demonstrate their experience carrying out tool and machine repairs and working with a variety of construction and heavy equipment.
A valid Class 3 driver\'s license with air brake endorsement is required. Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) and Standard First Aid are also required.
