We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in managing daily store activities, supervising staff, and implementing strategic initiatives to meet business goals.
Duties
Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies.
Lead and supervise store staff, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance team performance.
Assist with recruiting efforts, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and ensure adherence to company policies.
Handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and ensure accuracy in pricing and bookkeeping.
Coordinate purchasing activities and manage inventory levels effectively.
Implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to increase store traffic and sales.
Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
Support budgeting efforts and assist in controlling expenses to meet financial targets.
Requirements
Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or sales management roles with supervising responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Proficiency in Square POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management and training & development.
Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing techniques, and customer service best practices.
Familiarity with administrative tasks
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
