JOB PURPOSE:
To expedite access to oncology medicines thorough understanding of oncology landscape and hospital/cancer center nuances
To partner with HCPs and hospitals centers to support oncology patients throughout their treatment journey
To optimize the use of our oncology medicines in alignment to GSK Values and Mission: To enable patients to do more, feel better and live longer while achieving commercial objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain an agile mindset, a willingness to demonstrate fearless collaboration and an appetite for ongoing learning
Develop and execute a business sales plan for territory growth which includes setting appropriate short and long term objectives for customer and hospital to achieve mid to long term objectives and achieve/surpass targets
Thoroughly understand Customers and Hospitals needs, challenges and environment
Thoroughly understand GSK products, strategies, positioning and POA
Thoroughly understand competitor companies, products, positioning and how HCPs view the overall landscape
Effectively engage health care professionals in scientific discussions to ensure GSK products are optimally prescribed to the right patient at the right time
Effectively ask questions to garner insight into each customer's and hospital's situation, building from an implicit to an explicit need that enables solutions to challenges that Canadian physicians/nurses/pharmacists face
Build and maintain a network of health care professionals, understand how patients and health care professionals navigate the system, and integrate insights into the sales dialogue with the customer
Effectively use available resources (internal and external) to create customized customer value
Ensure work contributes to team goals and business priorities and use sound judgment to influence decisions
Understand the provincial/hospital oncology environment and key decision makers within that framework to effectively partner and support key stakeholders where appropriate
Develop effective internal relationships, fearlessly collaborate with colleagues, and create new, impactful ideas together to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Embrace accountability and empowerment to make quick decisions that consider key stakeholders
Lead the resource team to achieve team targets and communicate effectively, both internally and externally
Take the bigger picture view when making trade-off decisions, and look for the best opportunity to support HCPs across the country
Contribute to a great results oriented working environment by bringing positive energy and commitment to hold self and others accountable for delivering on objectives
Know and fully comply with all rules, policies, procedures, both internally and during customer interactions
Represent GSK in a way consistently demonstrating respect, transparency, and integrity that puts patients first and protects the company reputation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree completed
Significant and recent Oncology experience (minimum 5 years) is preferred, especially in markets inclusive of key academic centers.
In the absence of current Oncology expertise, proven and outstanding performance in a competitive market is essential.
Working knowledge of computer technology, Word, Excel, PPT and agility to learn new programs
Self-starter who is innovative, agile, accountable, thoughtful and a fearless collaborator
Positive and solution-based thinker
Creative, persuasive individual who must work well in a cross functional team environment
Strong organizational skills, a natural curiosity, and an ability to actively listen
Experience in multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing a breadth and volume of activities on a day to day basis to satisfactory conclusion and delivering to the required timelines

This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company - leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, GSK will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirement.
