Position Summary
Bristol Myers Squibb is a leading company in the field of immuno-oncology. The Oncology Therapeutic Specialist responsibilities are to engage with healthcare professionals to help more patients with our oncology products. We are looking for a candidate to cover the Ontario East area. As a field-based role, the OTS will act as primary point of contact with variety of stakeholders working in oncology; medical oncologists, pharmacists and nurses. The OTS will spend a minimum of 50-70% of the time interacting with customers. The expanded responsibilities of this commercial role also enable deeper scientific training and discussion during interactions. Key Responsibilities Product promotion
Promotion of approved indications of company products in Ontario East
Communications with physicians and other health care professionals in support of approved indications
Maintain a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products
Prepare and successfully implement a comprehensive territory plan
Reactive Fair & Balanced Scientific Exchange
Reactively answer unsolicited scientific and product related questions, while leveraging internally approved tools
Effectively prepare for presentation and discussion of information to HCPs and be able to respond to questions, while ensuring medical accuracy
Maintain high level of working expertise on emerging data covering BMS Immuno-oncology products
Disease & Treatment Landscape expertise
Maintain a high level of disease expertise
Collect and synthesize large volumes of clinical data and provide key relevant insights to internal stakeholders (commercial & medical), to inform future strategic direction (ex: from conferences)
Understand the treatment landscape including mapping of HCPs and prepare to address information needs of customers
Understand knowledge and care gaps in territory and implement learning programs (OLA, CHE) to address HCP needs
Cross-functional collaboration
Proactively seek cross-functional input to ensure optimal understanding of treatment landscape
Degree Requirements
Science graduate with relevant pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience, Master?s degree is considered an asset
Professional designation such as RN, PharmD, MD is considered an asset
Experience Requirements
Working in a commercial or scientific role with 5+ years? experience
Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data in an understandable and valuable manner to help physicians best serve their patients
Ability to develop and effectively manage new and existing customer relationships. Customers include key oncology clients (Physicians, nurses, health authorities) and drug plan administrators. Having pre-existing oncology experience is considered an asset
Previous healthcare experience is considered a plus
Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally

High level of scientific acumen, including the ability to interpret and present clinical data and effectively draw out clinical insights during dialogue with HCPs
Has a passion for the Oncology / Specialty Care business and understands the importance of cancer care for patients and care givers

Travel Requirements
Must possess a valid Driver?s License
Travel required 30-40% of time, depending on area of residence
