Job Overview
We're seeking a dedicated
Thai Head Chef
with
5+ years of experience
in Thai cuisine and kitchen leadership. You will oversee the kitchen's daily operations, lead menu development, manage costs, mentor staff, and uphold the highest culinary and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine authentic and innovative Thai menus, reflecting both tradition and modern flair.
Manage all kitchen operations: staffing, scheduling, supply ordering, inventory control, food costing, and budgeting.
Lead, inspire, and train the kitchen team--fostering excellence in performance and teamwork.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols.
Collaborate with management to optimize kitchen workflow, guest satisfaction, and business profitability.
Monitor quality control, kitchen presentation, and plating consistency.
Qualifications
Minimum
5 years
of professional experience as a head chef, sous chef, or senior chef with a strong focus on
Thai cuisine
.
Proven leadership and management skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Deep knowledge of Thai cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
Strong expertise in menu planning, cost controls, and inventory management.
Excellent team-building, communication, and organizational abilities.
Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., FoodSafe BC or equivalent); understanding of allergen management.
