We are looking for a test Engineer to join the Ottawa team. Responsibiltiies will include:

Set up, de-bug, and conduct automated testing on RF products

Create and present product validation data reports for marketing and engineering purposes

Understand design, applications, and characterization test requirements for RF products including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, couplers, switches, integrated WiLAN transmit/receive modules

Design, configure, assemble, and automate test equipment (PXI and rack-mount) using LabVIEW, C, Visual Studio, or Python (LabVIEW preferred) with a forward-looking awareness of future specifications, requirements, industry trends, and technology roadmaps

Requirements

Technical understanding and practical working knowledge of RF principles and theory

Technical understanding of analog, digital, and RF semiconductors

Thorough understanding of RF test equipment, practical measurement techniques, and accuracy including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, power supplies, digital control and analysis instruments with exposure to 802.11 WiLAN standards and Error Vector Magnitude measurements

Experience with test automation languages such as LabVIEW, C, Visual Studio, or Python (LabVIEW preferred)

Highly organized and motivated self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Logical approach to problem solving

Ability to work effectively and efficiently without supervision

Team player with focus on the goals and outcomes of the business unit in a fast-paced and metrics based priority-driven environment

Additional Skills

Experience with database scripting is an asset

Experience in technical writing is an asset
