is the largest municipality-owned burial park in British Columbia, spanning over 90 acres of beautifully manicured park-like settings. We are seeking a dedicated temporary Irrigation worker to join our team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Grounds Operations Supervisor, you will ensure all tasks are completed safely and on schedule. This is a temporary 6 month position with the possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain and repair irrigation systems and controllers;
Understand and operate irrigation controllers and use a computer and software for irrigation scheduling;
Determine, order, and maintain appropriate supplies needed for regular irrigation maintenance;
Troubleshoot problems and recommend repairs
Winterize irrigation systems and water features;
Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Cemetery Grounds Person as required
Accomplish other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Experience in all operations of groundwater irrigation installation & repair
Ability to stand/kneel for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and ability to provide a recent Driver's Abstract

Pay rate: $31.80 per hour + 10% in lieu benefits
