Job purpose

As a key member of the production team the General Plant Relief is responsible for the following but not limited to; relieving employees in all areas of production. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Duties and responsibilities

Relieve employees and perform all tasks for the position. Cover position for employees either on vacation and/or leave of absence. Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment. Supplying all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format. Report to Manager/Supervisor immediately of any food safety and/or quality issues (ie foreign materials, sanitation issues, health & safety issues, etc). Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, Quality Regulations, SOPs and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation. Maintain a safe work area and support health & safety programs. Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas. Take on additional duties as required.
Qualifications

Good reading, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Good mathematical, mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job. Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team based environment. Additional experience, training or education asset.
The nature of our business is such that the successful candidate may be requested to work overtime, weekends, and shift work.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $28.72 per hour
