We are looking for an entrepreneurially, results oriented Quebec Region Marketing Communications Manager to join the Volvo Car Canada team to provide leadership and ensure effective implementation of regional, French-language initiatives to increase demand for new and pre-owned Volvo vehicles in the province of Quebec.
This is a fully bi-lingual role based out of Quebec, reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This is a 12 month temporary contract role.
Your responsibilities
Develop and lead new Retailer Marketing Initiatives to engage with Canadians in Quebec who appreciate Volvo\'s safety, sustainability and Scandinavian design with impactful performance marketing that drives increased market share/retailer, maximizes the opportunity in their AOR (area of responsibility) and will ultimately assisting in driving sales for our Quebec retailers.
Lead on all Quebec automotive and lifestyle PR/media outreach and reactive responses in the Quebec market for media, journalists and influencers. You will collaborate closely with the Communications Manager in Richmond Hill to ensure there is consistent messaging and program alignment across Canada.
Working with the Experiential Manager, create, execute and manage engaging consumer experiences for the Quebec region, sharing our product stories, driving engagement with the Quebecios to deliver qualified leads and test drives to help increase consideration for the Volvo brand and products
In close collaboration with the marketing team in Richmond Hill, adopt and adapt Volvo advertising campaigns for the Quebec market ensuring tone, language and cultural references align to the Quebec market
Support in managing all French-language communications, including proof-reading and copy edits
Coordinates periodic Marketing Meetings promoting marketing best practices and new developments
Coordination / support of local events alongside retailers to our Quebec retailers
Financial acumen in budget management monthly, quarterly and annually in partnership with the Marketing & PR team
Lead the development of Volvo retailer marketing materials to help guide Quebec audiences through the customer journey (i.e. product content, Lease products, instore videos) in collaboration with the marketing, product and sales team
What skills and qualifications do you need?
Fluent written and verbal French is a requirement and will be assessed in the interview process.
Minimum 5 years of experience in leading marketing campaigns (advertising, social and experiential) to deliver on brand and performance goals in Quebec
Qualified to practice Public Relations in Quebec, with media and influencer relationships that reflect your experience
Experience in the planning, development, execution and management of local events designed to deliver test drives and leads
Outstanding writing skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, and tone
Ability to confidently present to retailers in both English and French
Experience in establishing marketing KPIs and ongoing measurement, analytics and reporting
Proactive with strong organizational skills and proficient multi-tasker
Works collaboratively within all levels, across all departments
Maintains awareness of trends, developments, and information beyond the confines of one\'s business area both inside and outside Volvo Cars
Proficient knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and office suite
Bachelor\'s Degree or Diploma in Marketing preferred
Up to 30% travel within Canada
Salary:
The estimated compensation for this positions ranges from $40-$50 per hour. This is a contract role that will be employed through a separate agency, not Volvo Car Canada.
