We are currently looking for a Temporary Accounting Assistant to join our Finance and Accounting team for a 12-month period. In this role, you will support reliable financial processes that strengthen operations across our clinics. From managing vendor accounts and processing weekly payments to resolving inquiries and keeping billing information current, your work ensures timely access to diagnostic services and makes a meaningful impact on patient care every day.

What You'll Be Doing

Accounts Payable: Process invoices accurately, resolve inquiries and adjustments, assist with twice-monthly EFT and cheque processing, and maintain up-to-date, organized files and records. Accounts Receivable: Posting daily third-party payments in SAGE and following up on outstanding balances by email and phone. Financial Tracking: Completing daily cash reconciliation, maintaining spreadsheets for expense tracking, and assisting with journal entry data input. Administrative Coordination: Monitor the accounting email inbox, obtain authorized cheque/EFT signatures, and complete occasional bank deposits. Collaboration: Partner with team members and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines, support evolving needs, and uphold accuracy across the accounting function. Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field is considered an asset. Accounting Experience: Skilled in accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows including invoicing, payment posting, discrepancy resolution, and maintaining accurate records. Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of accounting software such as SAGE and comfort working with Microsoft Excel. Precision: A history of error-free invoicing at volume, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining clean records. Cross Functional Capabilities: A track record of being collaborative with the ability to resolve issues efficiently. Adaptability: Quick to learn new systems and processes while maintaining momentum in a fast-paced environment. A Compassionate Approach: A history of empathetic care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.
