Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is an independent day school from JK-12 that is a caring and thriving community. Individuals & Societies / PHE Teacher
Temporary, full-time (1.0FTE) position August 2023 - June 2024
Who We Are GNS educators offer our students an internationally recognized \'gold standard\xe2\x80\x99 of education. As a highly collegial and collaborative team player, you will support the delivery of International Baccalaureate (IB) units that incorporate the BC curriculum. Every student matters at GNS, which comes through in our dedication to supporting and inspiring students\xe2\x80\x99 academic, co-curricular and personal growth through a high level of pastoral care. Our teachers are passionate educators who make an active contribution to our extensive co-curricular programs, and participate fully in the culture of our independent school community.
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring You will hold a valid BC teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain. You will have experience teaching Physical & Health Education and Individuals & Societies and have familiarity teaching within BC\xe2\x80\x99s Social Studies or English First Peoples curriculum. IB training and MYP experience is strongly preferred but not required. You will have a strong knowledge of inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches, possess a passion for innovation and creativity in education, and be highly reflective and committed to continuous professional growth and improvement. A strong aptitude in differentiated learning styles and a passion for educating the whole student is expected.
