Duties and Responsibilities:

Our Telehandler Operator reports to our Yard Manager and assists with the loading and unloading of construction formwork, equipment and materials for our various jobsites throughout the lower mainland. This position is based out of our Langley Yard location.

In this position, you will:

Load and unload trucks and re-stack material in an organized or prescribed manner Pick orders, count items and organize loads Assist with minor carpentry work Ensures work site cleanliness Comply with all WorkSafe (WCB) procedures/safety practices including on site work practices and guidelines

Skills and Experience:

Telehandler experience - certification required Construction industry a must, but experience in formwork construction is preferred Knowledge of formwork equipment, use and terminology Experience performing basic carpentry work, measuring and using hand tools Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English and additionally, Spanish is an asset Ability to work safely and efficiently under minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team Ability to handle or learn to handle heavy operating equipment Ability to follow directions Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment Must have personal protection equipment (PPE), fall protection gear and the appropriate ticket(s) and a reliable means of transportation to job sites Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, climb ladders and carry at least 50lbs (pounds) of weight Our yard shift is 7am - 3pm daily, but must be willing and able to work overtime as required Must be reliable, dependable and conscientious about safety and your surroundings

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
