We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Telehandler Operator to join our construction operation team in Lasalle, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers and other heavy machinery to support various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment, mechanical systems, and construction site safety protocols. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in equipment operation and a passion for construction work.

Responsibilities

Operate telehandlers efficiently to lift, move, and place materials on construction sites. Assist with the operation of additional heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers as needed. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and site logistics. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and minor repairs. Support other construction activities including horizontal drilling, paving, and general site preparation.

Requirements

Proven experience operating telehandlers, dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, or similar heavy equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience with JCB equipment or similar brands is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction processes including paving and horizontal drilling is a plus. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment while adhering to safety standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Prior experience in heavy equipment operation within the construction industry is preferred. Pay: $20.53-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 60 per week
