Telehandler Operator

to our Team. The

Telehandler Operator

is responsible for preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement of materials and liaising with crew to ensure that the projects are completed accurately.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

Ensuring the accurate removal and placement of materials by maneuvering motorized heavy equipment including; Zoom Booms and Skid Steers .

Supporting workflows by loading and offloading rocks, debris, pallets, and other materials from heavy equipment.

Maintaining good working order of equipment by keeping equipment clean and free of debris and other hazards.

Supporting preventative maintenance by performing pre-operational checks on equipment.

Maintaining construction equipment and vehicles by performing general maintenance, including oil changes.

General construction labourer tasks.

Escalating requisitions for equipment upgrades, repairs, and replacements to the Foreman.

Maintaining communication with the crew by directing materials and maintaining a critical list, as needed.

Aiding crew to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.

Enhancing productivity by providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.

Preparing and maintaining the Health & Safety on construction sites by;

o Maintaining awareness of surroundings

o Observing stipulated safety codes at all times

o Reporting injuries and other accidents to Foreman

Supporting administration by completing required paperwork, and other documentation as required.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Include but are not limited to:

High School Diploma/GED is preferred.

Must have a Telehandler ticket.

A minimum of 1-year previous experience operating Heavy Equipment in the construction industry.

Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.

Previous commercial and/or institutional construction experience.

Required tickets include; AWP, First Aid Level C , CSTS, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Fall Protection.

Must have a valid and clean Driver's license and be willing to travel to various sites.

Demonstrated manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Demonstrated effective communication skills, including oral, written and presentation abilities, as well as networking and relationship building skills.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently to complete assigned tasks.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.

Demonstrated desire to be a lifelong learner.

A strong service orientation, with a focus on making Aman Builders a respected and reputable construction company.

Strong "team" orientation, with demonstrated group process skills; this includes participation in high level planning and group involvement processes.

Demonstrated ability to be respectful of diversity.

Demonstrated knowledge of safety guidelines and the ability to instill a strong safety culture.

Ability to work extended hours as required.

Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour
