Position Summary
The Telehandler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of telehandler equipment on Patry Group construction sites. This role supports site logistics by moving materials, assisting trades, and maintaining safe equipment operations aligned with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate telehandler to move materials, equipment, and supplies throughout the jobsite.
Load and unload deliveries while maintaining balanced and secure loads.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report deficiencies or maintenance needs.
Support site teams with material placement to reduce manual handling.
Follow all safety regulations, including equipment operating procedures and site-specific rules.
Assist with general labour duties when required to support site productivity.
Maintain clear communication with site supervisors, spotters, and trades.
Qualifications
Valid telehandler / forklift certification (Class 7 preferred).
1-3 years of telehandler or heavy equipment experience.
Strong understanding of site safety protocols.
Ability to maneuver equipment in tight or congested work areas.
Skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
Strong communication skills with site crew.
Dependable, safety-focused mindset.
Working Conditions
Outdoor, all-season construction environment.
Requires sitting for long periods and operating heavy equipment.
