Job Summary: The TSA provides technical consultation and support for the University and determines technology requirements that support organizational goals. This position is responsible for the gathering, analysis, recommendation and implementation of technology requirements. Additionally, responsible for desk side support for employees and teaching labs, as well as research labs on a case by case basis.

Nature of work:
This person will repot to the Digital Learning Manager

Responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Gathering and analyzing IT learning technology requirements of faculty and departmental clients
  • Educating Staff and Faculty in the use of Technology, Troubleshooting and Installation/Testing
  • Lab set up.
  • Faculty and Staff laptop hardware/software Refresh
  • Daily tasks (Imaging, Special Events, Research computers, Documentation and Level 2 support and student support)
Required Skills:
  • Client support in an enterprise environment.
  • Mass deployment and distribution of different computer systems and software.
  • Experience working in a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with PC and Mac platforms would be an asset.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving.
Required Education:

Completion of a Formal Post-Secondary/College/University Program of Three Academic Years
Over 3 years and including 5 years
  • Verification of Academic credentials may be required
Required Experience:
  • Client support in an enterprise environment.
  • Mass deployment and distribution of different computer systems and software.
  • Experience working in a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with PC and Mac platforms would be an asset.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving.
