Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.Reporting to the Metals Supervisor, the Maintenance Welding Technician is responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient execution of preventative, routine, and immediate maintenance requirements across Nutrien, Fort Saskatchewan Nitrogen Operations.What you will do:

  • Assist with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping components and systems including steam traps, check valves, manual isolation valves, as well as fixed equipment such as tanks, towers, and exchangers.
  • Provide input on preventative maintenance opportunities, provide input and updates on PM plans to ensure accuracy, and submit work requests to address abnormal conditions.
  • Troubleshoot, plan, and repair with short notice, high priority work safely and effectively.
  • Utilize SAP for daily maintenance activities.
  • Active participation in team safety meetings, audits, and Job Task Observation of peers.
What you will bring:
  • B-Pressure welding certifications.
  • Certification in P1-P1 and P1-P8, Carbon Tig and Stainless Tig.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, communication and team skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP considered an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of the PEIMS manual and ABSA code requirements.
