POSITION SUMMARY

The Robotic Technical / Welder is responsible for Robot programing and maintenance.

SPECIFIC DUTIES - TECHNICIAN / WELDER

Responsible for programming, troubleshooting and monitoring robotic welder; set up of robotic welder and obtaining first offs. Responsible for maintaining steady production flow through the department during the shift. Upkeep of daily event log and communication between crews. Inspects welded joints and conducts tests to ensure welds meet company standards and customer job specifications. Verifies and maintains sufficient supplies corresponding to the production schedule Recommends adoption of new developments and applications to Supervisor and demonstrates practicality of recommendations. Records inspection and test results; prepares and submits reports to Supervisor. Ensure that all welding and testing equipment is operating as per manufacturer's specifications and at peak performance. Recommend and implement solutions for weld quality issues. Debugging, programming and path editing, repairing and replacing damaged components such as weld guns, electrodes, troubleshoot and develop root cause analysis of machine and welder issues. Interface with maintenance to maximize up time. Review of new fixtures/equipment as required. General housekeeping. Training of operators. Other duties may be assigned

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Post - secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology

or Robotics and Automation.

Experience working with Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Two or more years' experience in

PLC programming

, instrumentation and controls is required or equivalent combination of education and experience is ideal. Previous Aluminum Welding experience and training with: industrial robots, maintaining industrial equipment, PLC's, Please note that we will also accept resumes of recent graduates
