Veneer Sawmill is seeking to fill a Welder position with the possibility of future opportunity to become an Industrial Mechanic, with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.Wny choose this job?

The work:

• Responsible for the manufacturing, installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and industrial equipment in a production environment.
• Identify opportunities of improvement
• Troubleshooting, repair, assembly and carrying out preventive maintenance of machines
• Provide support to the maintenance team with the maintenance and/or installation of various equipment at the factory.
• Meet quality, safety and environmental standards.

Your qualifications:

• Education required: Diploma/Cards in Welding
• Years of experience required: 2 to 5 years in an industrial environment would be an asset.
• Be willing to work day/evenings and weekend shifts
• Demonstrate and interest in wanting to learn and progress in the profession of Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
• Sawmill experience is an asset
• Bilingual - an asset
• Meets JDI selection criteria
