What your days will look like as an Embedded Systems Technician:
The Embedded Systems Technician ensures support for the management of embedded systems, projects, and user assistance related to technological systems connected to operational equipment. They also ensure the quality follow-up of assigned work.
Main responsibilities:
Support the implementation of various projects involving new embedded technologies and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (Operations, IT, Maintenance) and with suppliers;
Create and update maintenance and inspection procedure documentation for new embedded technologies and ensure it is shared among stakeholders;
Coordinate the management of equipment suppliers and internal/external partners related to embedded systems;
Ensure installations comply with specifications by performing validations with Termont personnel and suppliers;
Provide advanced-level user support for system-related issues and actively contribute to developing and deploying user training programs;
Configure applications provided with systems (e.g., tag numbers, etc.);
Identify and ensure follow-up on corrective measures related to embedded systems in collaboration with the Maintenance department;
Coordinate support requests and supplier interventions.
To succeed as an Embedded Systems Technician, you should have:
Strong sense of priorities, initiative, analytical mindset, teamwork, and sound judgment;
AEC in Embedded Systems, DEC in Industrial Electronics Technology, or a related field;
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT installation or support (an asset);
Ability to read electrical diagrams;
Ability to explain technical information clearly;
Excellent priority management, organizational skills, and autonomy;
Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
