As part of the Product team at StackAdapt, you will help shape the future of our products. There is no "standard" day on the Product team at StackAdapt - every day will have its own set of interesting challenges.

As a Technical Writer, you'll be reporting to the VP of Product and will work collaboratively across our teams to research, write, publish, and organize material that helps our users on a daily basis. You've worked in technical writing before, and have a bias for crisp, clear communication around complex topics. You have strong empathy for our users, which helps you iterate and perfect your work. Ultimately, you create clarity out of ambiguity and support our teams in delivering world-class products. StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of delivering product documentation, in-platform copywriting, and API documentation; while collaborating with a world-class team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Research, understand, and publish both internal and external product feature documentation, including support docs, alongside engineers and product managers.
  • Craft and validate precise in-platform copy for our software product, working with designers, marketing managers, and product managers to ensure user comprehension.
  • Work with engineering and product stakeholders to produce API tutorials, use cases, developer guides, and overall documentation.
  • Test and validate documentation accuracy and usability, both on your own and in collaboration with colleagues in product management, design, engineering, support, and customer teams.
  • Become an expert in ad-tech and programmatic media buying, understanding the competitive landscape, the evolving market needs, and how those things relate to your role and StackAdapt's product.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for your product area by responding to customer feedback and helping colleagues with questions.
What you'll bring to the table:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a technology company; where you've developed and published large, complex technical artifacts (and can speak to their successes).
  • A Technical Writing background - ensuring that you can intelligently communicate with all stakeholders about technical details and nuances and write simple, clear statements to explain difficult concepts.
  • Strong language proficiency and writing skills - and you always know your audience Impeccable communication - your words are crisp, clear, and effective, whether written or verbal.
  • Empathy for all stakeholders - you have no problem being "in their shoes", and have strong diplomacy skills that encourage cross-team collaboration.
