JOB PURPOSE We are looking for a Technical Writer for a 6-month temporary position. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, references and work instructions.
NATURE OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Explain scientific and technical instructions ideas in simple language and images.
  • Meet with Engineers and production techs to establish expected technical outcome.
  • Study specifications, mockups, and product samples with the assistance of engineering as needed.
  • Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides such as SOP\xe2\x84\xa2s and MAPs (Work instructions).
  • Ensure written content is easy to understand by operators and technicians.
  • Gather information on the subject from the end user.
  • Take pictures, prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts.
  • Ensure fields flow in the correct sequence.
  • Write clear and concise procedures.
  • Submit copies to managers for feedback.
  • Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
  • Submit the document in Agile for final approval and release.
  • Provide updates and different editions to documentation as necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 related experience.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the documentation required to test and build product in the electronics industry.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, Acrobat, etc).
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with employees in various positions and at various levels.
