We are a geographically distributed writing team that takes pride in being the creators and guardians of usable product documentation. We apply a docs-as-code approach to our content creation, using XML and DITA for re-using and single-sourcing content. Git and GitLab are the tools we use for content reviews, version control, and documentation releases. We use Atlassian tools to coordinate our day-to-day tasks and to collaborate across the organization. We follow Agile practices in our documentation team with sprints, stand-ups, planning meetings, and retrospectives structuring our workdays and in the larger organization by participating in release planning, attending sprint demonstrations, and contributing to release retrospectives. As a technical writer in the OSS Analytics and Assurance documentation team, you will take an active role in the development of customer-facing product documentation. Our team identifies the documentation requirements, develops the content to meet those requirements, ensures that reviews are conducted, and delivers accurate documents on time. We collaborate with other product teams, including product management, software development, quality assurance, service delivery, and support to capture source information and feedback on our documentation.


What you will do

  • Writing and updating documentation product documentation. Writing activities contribute to user guides, in-context help, release notes, deployment and operations guides, APIs, and SDKs.
  • Collaborating with product team members to research, develop, and verify content.
  • Communicating technical information clearly, concisely, and accurately to meet customer quality expectations.
  • Coordinating and participating in technical and editorial documentation reviews and seeking feedback from customer advocates.
  • Understanding and identifying innovations and improvements in technical communication.


You will bring

  • Expert written and spoken English
  • University degree or college diploma in Technical Writing
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in software documentation
  • Organizational skills; efficiently managing your time and adapting to variable requirements
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Advanced technical writing skills, with a focus on writing for the target audience
  • An attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a desire to improve our presentation of technical information and streamline our ways of working
  • Experience with DITA, content-reuse, single-sourcing, and docs-as-code strategies
  • Familiarity with software development, telecommunications, and OSS domains
  • Comfortable reading code
  • Strong understanding of content development and collaboration tools, such as oXygen XML, Git, GitLab, Photoshop, Jira, Confluence
