As a Technical Writer, you will use your wide array of knowledge to provide support to our clients. Once You Are Here, You Will:

• Document help text, user manuals, technical documentation, web page content, etc.
• Review documentation standards, existing project documentation and determine documentation requirements.
• Gather information concerning features and functions provided by developers.
• Assess the audience for the documents/manuals which are required and prepare a statement of purpose and scope for each.
• Develop a table of content for each document/manual and write or edit required content.
• Document help text, user manuals, technical documentation, web page content, etc.
• Design the layout of the documents/manuals and prepare or coordinate preparation of any required illustrations and diagrams.
• Use word-processing, desk-top publishing, and graphics software to produce final camera-ready copy.

Required Qualifications

• Government of Canada Reliability/Secret Security Clearance in process or completed
• 10 + years of experience, or 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer with a recognized professional certification.
• 2+ years experience writing materials to support an ITSM Tool implementation or upgrade project.
• 2+ years experience writing communication plans and strategies.
• 1+ years experience writing release notes for various audiences.
