About the Role

The Trade Technical Sr. Associate will be part of the Wescam Inc. Trade Compliance teamto provide technical expertise to the Wescam Inc. as they ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and local requirements for the jurisdiction and classification determination of commodities, software, and technical data.

Primary Responsibilities

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Conducting export jurisdiction and classification reviews and determinations of commodities, software, and technical data under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Canada\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) / Defence Production Act (DPA) with the support of the Technical Trade Compliance Classification Manager supporting Canadian HS and US Schedule B and HTS classifications

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Reviewing supplier and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) classifications and document internal concurrence or re-classification for export and/or import.

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Supporting engineering teams across Wescam Inc. with development, training, and application of \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9cdesign for export\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9d concepts.

\xc3\x82\xc2\xb7Supporting the monitoring, maintenance, and retention of records and documentation used for jurisdiction and classification determinations in accordance with regulations and L3Harris policy.
