Responsibilities Include:
  • Network problem analysis at District and Patch level to improve service restoral KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Ensure proper coordination of commissioning activities and quality control on new site and augment in service acceptances
  • Provide team analysis, coaching and improvement for District optimization activities
  • Periodic review of spares, test, phone and fleet inventory with updates to District Manager
  • Review IMT performance and accuracy and mentor Technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and best practice, working with the District Manager to improve individual and team performance
  • Review data accuracy of sites and ensure Technicians keep Remedy, site folders and PM notebooks are complete and up to date
  • Assist in administrative functions as delegated by the District Manager to support the team
  • Shift work or overtime as needed and coordination and quarterbacking of emergency events
  • Travel throughout the district as required.
  • This position does not have assigned sites, but does retain enough field-based tasks to remain technically competent, mostly through mentoring and OTJ training of staff and requires travel throughout the District as needed to achieve objectives
  • Interface with internal partners in other Districts and Regions and with other departments to drive process improvement
  • Work with ANI Delivery Managers to achieve successful implementation of First Time Right
  • Work with Training team to develop troubleshooting and technical step-by-steps for Technicians
  • Departmental asset management
  • Work with Technical Specialists from other districts to ensure best practices
  • Support District Manager to achieve departmental goals

Qualifications:
  • 3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years of technical telecommunications experience supporting network elements
  • 1 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years of demonstrated experience providing mentoring and guidance within existing team
  • Diploma/Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated high level of competence and familiarity with all network elements within the District including RAN, MW, fibre, power and other support and logistics related to District operations
  • Ability to lead others, keep calm in crisis and demonstrate good judgement
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a proven customer orientation and a safety-first attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written communication
  • Ability to travel and work at various sites as required
  • Must possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a good driving history
