What is this position all about? In this role, you will participate throughout the application life cycle to support our customer implementations. You will also work closely with the customer IT staff on specific IT related issues. Thanks to your strong technical and people skills, and your application knowledge you will be a key contributor to our customers’ success.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Installation of applications and moving of installs during hardware upgrades
  • Maintenance of documentation and monitoring of backups
  • Migration of PointForce Enterprise to new servers
  • Providing IT technical support when necessary
  • Maintenance of streamline e-commerce installs in AWS and of Remote Desktop Manager
  • Upgrading licenses and providing sales and administrative support for PVX Plus and iTopia
  • Working closely with the other members of the technical and professional services teams
  • Build rapport with customers, guiding them in their integration of the Tecsys software

What do you bring to the role?
  • Technical aptitude including experience with Unix/Linux, Java, & SQL
  • University, Cégep/College or technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Commerce with focus on Business Technology Management or related field.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing, technical consulting environment such as technical support or related area.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that are technical in nature and provide resolutions.
  • Strong sense of organization, self-motivation, and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills; fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Canadian or US Citizenship (due to travel requirements)

What would give you an edge?
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server, operating systems, and applications
    • SQL and its Server Management Studio, Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel), Teams and Sharepoint
  • Working experience with Virtualization Software and Various Communication Packages such as: Hyper-V, VMware, OracleBox and Cleo Lexicom, Putty, Telnet, SSH, FTP/SFTP Client/Server
  • Knowledge and experience working with the PVX Plus Programming Language
  • Knowledge of Asigra Cloud Backup Solution,
  • Knowledge of InstallShield, and Cloud Services (AWS, Azure)
