Our client is a leading manufacturer of a window wall system designed for mid-rise to high-rise residential developments based in the Ontario Canada area. They have partnered with Randstad to support them in the search for a Product Technical Specialist role.

Position: Product Technical Specialist - Level 2
Location- Mississauga, ON
Salary - Salary Depends on Experience and qualification

Summary: The purpose of this role is to provide product support with regard to current and new products to clients, manufacturing personnel, and other staff in order to facilitate an organized transition from sales and design through production and installation. As well, the PTS2 will oversee the creation of Wis for existing products; This entails training staff (WIP) on the manufacturing processes, designing the Wilayout and reviewing the final drafts before approval by the Product Manager.

Responsibilities
Oversee creation of Wis; Train responsible Staff in the Manufacturing process, Design Wis layout and communication style, and review the work as needed.
Review shop drawings for manufacturability and compliance with standards and other potential issues and setbacks
Respond to technical product inquiries from suppliers, manufacturing, clients and other departments
Review BOM's, work instructions, and product documentation.
Develop and update documentation of product limitations, requirements, and manufacturability Assist, guide and Train PA as needed to ensure they can successfully complete their tasks
Design and carry out product testing as necessary
Oversee rollout of new products into production
Perform specialized assignments in complex assembly and associated processing operations requiring substantial innovating and adapting to resolve problems in a timely manner and to meet all required specifications . Provide product support to the manufacturing team

Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering Bachelor preferred
Proficient in Inventor and 2D CAD (Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD is also an asset)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Work direction by the supervisor is customary with minimal supervision
