Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Representative to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional technical support for our range of engines and power equipment. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering top-notch service and solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to customers and the customer service team for a variety of outdoor power equipment and lawn & garden products; Troubleshooting with Service Dealer involving a variety of gas-powered and non-gas-powered tools and equipment; and conducting in-house service-training seminars
Recommend, sell, and promote products and services represented by CPT within a fast-paced environment, take inbound calls from consumers, Authorized Service Dealers, and Mass Merchants
Sell replacement parts and provide minor technical assistance through parts lookup and research, using both in-house and web-based resources
Job Requirements
:
Must Speak, Read and Write in English - Bilingual (English and French) would be considered an asset
High School diploma or equivalent
The ideal candidate will have related post-secondary education (College or Technical Certificate) with two years related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience involving gas-powered and non-gas-powered tools and equipment.
Required skills include communication, order entry, problem solving and resolution, up-selling, and teamwork
Mechanical aptitude or previous parts counter or mechanical experience a plus
Previous experience dealing directly with customers
Ability to sit and look at a computer screen, listen to customers through a headset, and enter data quickly and accurately into a computer for long periods of time
Ability to look up and read illustrated parts listings on the computer, microfiche, or in other reference material spatial ability
Ability to use e-mail, excel, web applications, and an industry-specific computer application
Ability to read numbers accurately and multi-task
Ability to sell the company and our products to our customers, including up-selling
Ability to address customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Ability to manage customer complaints and/or angry customers and to handle stressful situations over a telephone
